Bovada Launches New Video Poker Game in Mobile Casino

Bovada's New Mobile Video Poker Game

Bovada is currently one of the premium US friendly casino options that has gone live with their browser based mobile casino application. Bovada initially launched with a variety of mobile slots games (including 3D slots), roulette and blackjack. Since then they have added several slots titles, an additional blackjack variation, and most recently, a video poker game. They are one of only a few USA mobile casinos that has included video poker to their lineup. The name of the game is Double Double Bonus Poker, and it can be played either for real money or in practice mode. Their sister site, Slots.lv has also launched the video poker game in their mobile casino game menu as well. Both brands were born out of the Bodog brand to provide an alternative destination for Bodog’s previous US player traffic. Bodog exited the US market upon the launch of Bovada.

The recently added video poker game allows you to play up to 5 coins, with the highest coin value set at $5 (a max bet of $25). The player is dealt 5 cards. You tap the cards that you want to keep and then select the ‘deal’ button to be dealt new cards. Winning hands will randomly receive an option for going ‘double or nothing’ in which you can double your payout by selecting a higher card than the one dealt. It’s a fun way to add some extra excitement to the game. If you win the first challenge, you are given the option to continue doubling down until you either loose or choose to stop. The minimum winning hand is jacks or better, and there are special paylines for multiple four of a kind combinations. The game functions using touchscreen technology that is highly responsive for fast and smooth game play. The rules and game options, such as changing the coin value and adding sound are available through the menu tab that is located on the upper right hand side of the screen.

Being a browser based application, the game utilizes responsive technology that allows it to automatically recognize the device being used to access the game, and then instantly formats the user interface and functions to render according to your device’s display dimensions and specs. This all takes place in a matter of seconds, and without any assistance from you. This technology is somewhat backwards compatible, so users of previous generation devices will still be able to access Bovada’s mobile casino games. Bovada’s new mobile video poker game is compatible with the iPhone, and iPad, nearly all Android devices, and most of Windows mobile and Blackberry devices.

The game does not require any downloads of any kind, and does not take up any storage space on your device. Playing video poker from your smartphone or tablet provides instant access to this type of entertainment when on the go, no matter where you are. I find myself getting a little video poker action in long lines at the drive thru, in waiting rooms, and even to take a quick break from work at my desk. Myself and our team are giving Bovada’s development of their mobile casino apps a big thumbs up.
