MGM Resorts Launches First Of It’s Kind Mobile Tournaments

MGM Tournaments

Anyone with even the slightest bit of business sense will tell you that to remain relevant in today’s culture, you’ve got to stay on the cutting edge of technology driven services. That is precisely what MGM Resorts seems to be doing as they launch the first ever mobile tournaments for guests. This new mobile tournament platform was developed by oneLIVE inc. and provides players with access to a nice selection of tournament games from their mobile devices. Guests at any of nine specific Las Vegas resorts will be able to participate from any location at the resorts.

Cash and prizes can be won through the tournaments that include popular casino games such as slots, video poker and bingo, among others. Players must be 21 years old in order to participate, and can use their smartphone, tablet or laptop to play. InteractivePro Tables will be placed in multiple locations throughout MGM Resorts’ properties for guests who prefer not to use their mobile device to participate. The properties included in the initiative are ARIA Resort and Casino, MGM Grand, New York New York, Bellagio, Mandalay Bay, Luxor, The Mirage, Excalibur and Monte Carlo.

A host of games has been included from multiple content providers, including Spain’s Spin Games LLC and British company Touchstone Games Limited. New game titles are expected to be added regularly. The first event offered through the platform is the All Summer Long Winner Takes All Progressive Slot Tournament. An entry fee of $5 paid prior to 9/4 will provide players with a chance to play the slot game that includes a grand prize totaling a minimum of $10,000. Not a bad payout for a $5 investment.

The interface and game play is very user friendly, offers a substantial game selection, and combines the convenience of online access with an intriguing layer of competition that may draw in guests who prefer a more casual and relaxed atmosphere for their gambling entertainment. Guests may participate from their rooms, the pool, the bar or anywhere else they enjoy spending time at the resorts. Mobile betting apps are certainly becoming more mainstream in the gambling community, bringing even more legitimacy to the real money online gambling industry. We are fairly confident that this is just the beginning, just the tip of the iceberg as compared to the endless possibilities that are lingering out in cyberspace.
